Think Think Think

Just remember kiddos: If you think you’re an alcoholic, you belong in meetings.  If you think you might be an alcoholic, you belong in meetings.  If you think you’re not an alcoholic, you belong in those meetings.

The point is, if you are thinking about it at all, rather than knowing for sure you’re not, then you prolly are kiddo.

picked up this nugget at a meeting last night.  it was from my sponsor no less.  It was sposed to be a 12 and 12 meeting, but at the beginning of every meeting we always ask if anyone had a desire to drink in the last 24 hrs and would like to share.  Turns out we had a couple folks share, then it just turned in to an open sharing meeting.  I always like those more anyway.  Just let folks get stuff off their chest rather than read out of the book then talk about it.

12 and 12 is a Steps/Traditions meeting btw.  We’ll read a tradition, then we’ll read the same step from the book, then we’ll talk about.

  1. you are so right. I knew I was an alcoholic when I started wondering if I was and thinking that I wasn’t!
